Unfortunately Naturopathic services are no longer rebateable through private health Insurance.
I would greatly appreciate your consideration to give 24 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment. This allows me to reallocate this time to another client.
A 50% cancellation fee will be applied to missed appointments if less than 24 hours notice is given.
Once your consult is booked, I will ask you to complete a health history and personal details questionnaire (including a current list of medications and/or supplements). Please bring all previous test results with you. If you are taking supplements please make a note of the brand or bring the bottles along.
The first consult can take up to 1.5 hours, involving a thorough review of health history, lifestyle, dietary habits, stress levels and environmental influences. Sharing your health concerns can be a therapeutic process and helps provide a comprehensive picture of what’s happening.

Some questions may seem unrelated to your specific health complaint, but as a naturopath I am interested how the different body systems connect and affect each other and your symptoms. Some non-invasive physical examinations and in-house assessments such as iridology, zinc status or pH balance testing, may be performed.

You may be prescribed a supplement, dietary or lifestyle recommendations at this first consult or be referred for further testing. An estimated timeline of your treatment will be outlined.

Your personalised plan may involve dietary and lifestyle modifications, nutritional supplementation or herbal medicine. I provide very clear instructions and educate you on why these recommendations have been made and help you learn about your body, your health issues and what you can do to get better. You will be given a prognosis to estimate how long the process is likely to take and what your commitment will be.

Prescribed medications will only be replaced by less invasive or natural alternatives in co-operation with your prescribing doctor.

Return visits allow for monitoring and review. This important step ensures dosages are correct, symptoms are easing and the treatment is working. Clients appreciate being able to discuss any symptom changes, improvements and challenges.

Ongoing education is essential. An understanding of your body allows you to take control of your health and supporting and maintaining your recovery. In addition, continued support, guidance and coaching will inspire, motivate and keep you on track.

I give you a prognosis and an estimated timeline for treatment(s) and recovery.
Ultimately, your recovery depends on your condition. The more chronic and longstanding your issue the more time it will take to heal. Some people respond quickly, others more slowly to treatments, it is a very individual process
An underlying naturopathic principle is the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself. My role as your naturopath is to educate and empower you to understand your health, take care of your body and how to help it heal naturally. This understanding means you are more likely to follow suggestions, make positive life changes and stay motivated to achieve and maintain lifelong health.
